About stella

Stella has shown incredible resilience in the face of heartbreak. After losing her owner and being left to fend for herself, Stella arrived deeply traumatized, anxious, and unable to trust. Those early days were difficult as she cried and tried to escape, but with patient care and understanding, she's made remarkable progress in her healing journey.

Today, Stella feels safe and has blossomed into a very good girl who's rediscovered simple pleasures. You'll usually find her contentedly lounging on her bed in her room, and she absolutely melts for belly rubs. This sweet routine shows just how far she's come in learning to trust and find comfort again. Stella gets most excited for her morning walk.. she can barely contain her excitment!

Stella enjoys playgroup and does well with other dogs when given proper introductions. If placed in a home with another dog, she would need structured feeding times to prevent any issues, as she can be protective of her food and space. Her resource guarding tendencies are manageable with the right approach and understanding.

Stella is naturally protective and can be reactive to strangers, potentially biting if introductions aren't handled carefully and structurally. She's looking for an experienced adopter who understands she needs structure and can provide a quiet living situation where she can continue to heal and thrive.

With patience, structure, and gentle guidance, Stella will reward her adopter with the deep loyalty and companionship that comes from a dog who truly appreciates being saved. She's ready to find someone who sees past her protective nature to the loving, grateful companion she's become.
