Yum has overcome tremendous challenges with grace. Brought to us from another shelter who rescued her from an abusive situation  

Yum, an extraordinary girl who proves that love and determination can overcome any challenge! This remarkable pup navigates her world with impressive confidence and joy, showing us daily that the best companions come in all forms. Yum has the sweetest way of connecting with her humans - she does adorable nose boops to find you and absolutely loves having her paw held, creating an instant bond that will melt your heart.

With a calm, low-to-medium energy level, Yum is the perfect companion for someone seeking a loving, gentle presence in their home. She's wonderfully food-motivated, making training sessions both fun and rewarding, and her love for cuddles is simply unmatched. One of her most endearing qualities is how much she enjoys being picked up and flopped onto the couch for maximum comfort and closeness with her favorite humans.

Yum is an absolute joy to walk with - she has excellent leash manners, follows your lead beautifully, and has the most delightful little trot that makes every outing an adventure. She's perfectly content around other dogs, maintaining her calm composure unless they get right up in her face. Car rides are a breeze as she contentedly lies down for the entire journey, making her an excellent travel companion.

This special girl thrives on consistency and familiarity, so she'd do best in a home where furniture and room layouts remain stable to help her feel secure and confident. She manages her health beautifully with daily medications for comfort and mobility, taking them without any fuss. At home, Yum displays excellent manners with just one small quirk - she'll explore the trash if it's not secured, but this is easily managed.

Yum has no separation anxiety and is comfortable being left alone when needed. She loves variety in her sleeping arrangements, happily rotating between her own bed, your bed, the couch, and cool floor spots depending on her mood. Her playful side emerges through her love of soft toys for cuddling and puzzle toys that combine her food motivation with mental stimulation.

This incredible girl is looking for a patient, loving family who will appreciate her gentle nature and provide the consistent, caring environment where she can flourish.
