Spice was once-feral puppy who's been making remarkable strides in her journey. Rescued alongside her siblings as a very shy and fearful pup, Spice has slowly been learning to trust the world around her. While she's still naturally reserved, she's begun accepting treats from staff and showing steady improvement in her on-leash walking skills.

Spice's path to feeling fully at home will take time and patience. She may need extra encouragement to show affection, but her caregivers are confident she has the potential to develop a deep, meaningful bond with the right family. She would greatly benefit from having another dog in the home to serve as a confidence-building companion and guide, though she can be selective and reactive to dogs she doesn't know.

Due to her fearful nature and flight risk, Spice needs extra safety measures including a fully fenced yard, baby gates throughout the home, double leashing on walks, and a GPS collar to keep her secure as she continues adjusting to life.

Spice is looking for a patient family who understands that some of the most rewarding relationships take time to develop. She needs people who won't rush her progress but will celebrate each small breakthrough as she slowly transforms from a frightened feral puppy into the loving, loyal companion she's meant to be.
