Ballu is a brave little soul whose journey to us began as a farm working dog before a tragic accident changed everything. This resilient puppy came to our care after suffering serious injuries when he was accidentally struck by a vehicle, resulting in a broken rib, fractured pelvis, and fractures in both back legs. Thanks to emergency surgery and dedicated medical care, Ballu is healing beautifully, though his road to full recovery will take several more months.
What's remarkable about Ballu is how he's adapted to his current lifestyle. While his activity must be strictly controlled during this crucial healing period, meaning no running, jumping, or rough play, he's discovered the quieter joys of life. Ballu has become a champion cuddler and has learned to channel his puppy energy into gentle activities like calmly chewing his favorite stuffed toys when he's feeling mouthy, working through nosework challenges, and solving food puzzles that keep his bright mind engaged.
Ballu needs a very special adopter who understands the importance of maintaining his medical restrictions to ensure proper healing. This means being vigilant about preventing him from overexerting himself, even when his puppy instincts tell him he wants to play harder. His ideal family will appreciate that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is help a dog rest and recover.
As a young puppy, Ballu will also need ongoing training and assistance with housetraining once he's fully healed.
